The owners of this grand home on Sydney’s North Shore wanted to create a new entertaining area that would complement but be sympathetic to their existing family home. It needed to exude the opulent feel of the home but more importantly, be functional and inviting.

TGS Landscape Architects have used quality bluestone to connect to the existing fabric of the home and mature plants to give an instant garden feel. The adjustable umbrella shades give necessary protection from the exposure of the courtyards northerly aspect.

At the front of this home, it’s the presence of the feature Deodars that really hits you. This manicured masterpiece is a real representation of old world charm in this modern and contemporary time. From the mass plantings of Clivea miniata, the magnificent Azaleas, and specimen Camelias, contrast beautifully with the blues of the Agaves, and striking colours of the many Bromeliad varieties that this garden harbors. This is an amazingly designed garden that is filled with colour and texture all year round.
